Arusha National Park, where Mount Meru resides, is among the more compact parks in Tanzania. It is an ideal destination for a day excursion, not only due to its size but also because of its convenient location near both Arusha and Moshi. This park stands out as the sole one providing such accessibility. Therefore, if you are constrained by budget or time constraints, this could be the ideal journey for you. Rest assured, the variety of wildlife and scenery is remarkable, ensuring a fulfilling experience.

We will arrange for your pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha (or Moshi with a small additional fee) in the morning. The drive to the entrance of Arusha National Park will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once we arrive, you will have the opportunity to explore the park by jeep for half of the day, followed by a walking safari for the other half. It’s worth mentioning that Arusha National Park is one of the few parks that offer this unique walking safari experience, which we highly recommend as it allows for a closer encounter with the animals. The exact departure time for the walking safari will be determined by the park’s schedule, but the duration of the walk is typically around 4 hours. If you prefer not to participate in the walking safari, we can also arrange a full-day game drive for you. Please inform us of your preference during the reservation process.

Zebras, giraffes, baboons, buffalos, and colobus monkeys are common sightings, while spotting an elephant or a leopard is a possibility. The Momella lakes and Ngurdoto crater offer breathtaking landscapes. Additionally, hundreds or even thousands of flamingos can be observed around the lakes.
