Full detailed itinerary

We will be picked up from Arusha and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park early in the morning to kick off our safari with a cup of warm African tea.

Upon arrival in the afternoon, we will check in at the lodge for lunch. Following our meal, we will embark on an evening game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, marking the beginning of our 4-day Ngorongoro safari. This park is renowned for its stunning location, featuring a vast yet shallow soda lake that covers a significant portion of the park, situated at the base of the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. The diverse habitats within the park attract a wide array of wildlife, including a high concentration of elephants, the unique tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, and numerous flamingos drawn to the lake by the algae.

After our game drive, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge of your preferred standard.

After enjoying our morning meal, we make our way to our next destination, Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque high-altitude farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We make a brief stop at the crater viewpoint to take in the stunning aerial view of the crater. Leaving the highlands behind, we venture into the heart of untamed Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching out as far as the eye can see.

We stop for lunch at Nabbi gate and enjoy some refreshments before embarking on a thrilling game drive through the animal-rich terrain as we make our way to our lodge. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Upon waking up early, ensure to have breakfast and prepare your lunch box for the morning game drive to catch up on what we may have missed yesterday. Following the game drive, we will head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation area. An optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, known for its historical significance dating back to ancient times, where Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, crucial in the study of human evolution.

Arriving at the lodge in time for lunch, we will then descend into the crater for a half-day safari tour, witnessing a wide array of wildlife supported by the Ngorongoro National Park’s year-round water supply and fodder. From wildebeest and zebras to elephants and predators like lions and leopards, the park offers a rich diversity of animal species. A visit to Lake Magadi, known for its flamingos and other water birds, will be a highlight of the day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Enjoy breakfast, after which we will transfer back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha will we have lunch and then we will end our African safari adventure.
