You depart Arusha and go to Lake Manyara National Park on the first day of your 7-day Serengeti safari. One of Tanzania’s smaller parks, Lake Manyara, nonetheless provides an enjoyable and varied safari experience. Elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes are surprisingly numerous. We will travel to Manyara or Karatu for dinner and the night following the game drive.

After breakfast, we leave Manyara (Mto wa mbu) and travel to Serengeti National Park. We’ll head to the Lobo area, which is near the Seronera area (central Serengeti National Park). The central Serengeti will be the location for the overnight stay and dinner. 

After breakfast on the third day of our seven-day Serengeti safari, we have a full-day wildlife drive across the park. Among the species you see today are elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, gazelles, zebras, and cheetahs. Beautiful riverine trees and a variety of birds, including fish eagles and kingfishers, can be seen along the river’s banks. The overnight stay and meals will take place in the center of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, we travel to the northern Serengeti, where you can witness the Masai Mara migration and the Wagakuria, or crossing of the wildebeest, during the months of August and September. From the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area, we’ll do a game drive. We get to the lodge in time for lunch, and then we’ll go on a game drive in the afternoon. The Northern Serengeti will provide dinner and overnight lodging.

On this day, have a full-day game drive in the Wagakuria area after breakfast. In this area of the park, there are a lot of African animals, including lion prides. Dinner and an overnight stay in the Central Serengeti.

Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge in the midafternoon. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive in the Serengeti, heading to the Serengeti gate to check out of the Park and then continuing with Serengeti safari on the route to Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

On the final day of your 7 days Serengeti safari, head into the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and enjoy a more than seven-hour game drive. A wide range of animals, such as herds of wildebeest, zebras, enormous African elephants, buffalo, eland, warthogs, and hippopotamuses, can be found in the crater. On the crater bottom, there is a sizable predator population that includes lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard. You will go on a game drive after a picnic lunch. When the game drive is over, we will go back to Arusha.
