Full Itinerary
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters to domestic flights, you will be met by an African Big Cats Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at the Ilboru Safari Lodge, a calm lodge located in the suburbs of the city with a natural setup of a beautiful garden awaiting your safari the following day.
Main Destination: Arusha City
After an early breakfast, we’ll depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In some places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. The park is well known for its elephant families and the giant baobab trees, which can often be seen congregating by the river. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat – from the adorable calves to the intimidating bulls. You may also see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. You’ll have a late afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and your overnight stay at Eileen’s Tree Inn.
Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Best Time To Visit: July to November (Animals come to the Tarangire River)
High Season: June to October (The park is full of visitors)
Best Weather: June to October (Little rainfall)
You’ll have an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game-viewing drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as the Eighth Wonder of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Crater has achieved world-renown status, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! One of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, the park is home to the entirety of the Big Five and is a particularly good place to see herds of wildebeest, zebras, the elusive caracal and Cape buffalo year-round. You will also visit the hippo pool for the hippos. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Later on, drive to Serengeti National Park for dinner and your overnight stay at Embalakai Camp.
Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Best Time To Visit: June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)
High Season: Most of the year – July to March (Expect crowds)
Best Weather: June to October (Rainfall is little to none)
Breakfast will be served at the camp and thereafter we will head for a game-viewing drive. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allows for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest national park and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for its annual great migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing grounds. The precise timing of the migration is entirely dependent on the rainfall patterns each year. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. We will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and your overnight stay at Eileen’s Tree Inn.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit: January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season: July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

Lake Manyara NP boasts a spectacular array of diverse terrain as well as plants and animal species. Established specifically to protect the elephant herds that have made the area renowned, the park provides an amazing wildlife experience. Elephants are not the only animals that Lake Manyara is famous for. Tree-climbing lions are occasionally sited. Lake Manyara, an alkaline shallow lake is home to the flamingos. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. After lunch, drive back to Arusha in time for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Stone Town for dinner and your overnight stay at Marumaru Hotel.

After breakfast, you will head straight to the city of Stone Town before traveling to the northern coast of Zanzibar known as Nungwi which has the kind of white coral sand that seems to glow even after nightfall.
For its entire bustle, it can still feel secluded. Nungwi’s expansive coastline is wide open for swimming and snorkeling in some of Africa’s most pristine, reef-rich waters. It’s one of the rare Zanzibar beaches untroubled by severe undulations of high and low tides, making it perfect for all-day water activities. Deep-sea fishing near Nungwi is top-notch, with opportunities to catch kingfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna, and enormous striped marlin from the Indian Ocean. There are plenty of activities on offer, walking tours, sunset cruises, diving excursions, and parasailing to name a few. All it takes is a sunset sighting of traditional dhow boats bobbing in the sea to be captured by this enchanting African beach
You will spend two nights at Nungwi Dreams.
